You Don’t Have To Do It Alone

Moms, dads, grandparents, etc.. You are not in this alone. I know that there are many families who are going through it right now for a variety of reasons. Some of you have lost loved ones, others are facing shortages with food and resources and then there’s a war taking place all at the same time. Even though all of that is happening right now, I want you to know that you don’t have to do this alone. I want you to know that there are people who are coming together in this moment to strengthen the core of communities the best way they can.

Last month, I joined a local mom’s community on Facebook. I did it because I have young children including a very busy one year old. So talking to other moms who can relate, takes the load off and I have a ton of insight that I am able to offer to first time moms as well. So it was a great set up and I was thrilled to join. As I took part in many of the conversations over the last several weeks, I started to notice that these moms were not just posting about the joys and woes of motherhood. They were also being a resource at the same time.

The phenomenal ladies in this group have been offering tools, tips, resources and so much more to each other. Many of these women have never met in person. They all share something in common. They are moms who want to provide a loving home to their children. Their love for babies and making sure they are well taken care of overflowed into the lives of perfect strangers. These ladies have opened their hearts to each other in a way that brings nothing but joy to my soul. They created a community where like minded women could come together and seek what they needed. Even if it was just a listening ear to a hard situation.

Parents/Guardians, you don’t have to do this alone. There are communities of people who are in similar boats as you waiting with open arms. Start to seek out these communities. This is not the time to be alone, this is the time for communities to bring their resources together and help each other. Many people have a heart to help and there are plenty of people who need the help.

Now, for those of you who have been burdened with the heart to serve these communities, it’s time to get up and form the vision that you have been holding. This will resonate to the ears of those who need to hear it. It is time for you to get up and take your place. Get into position because people are seeking you. You are not where you are supposed to be. The time is now.
