How are you holding up?

How have you been really feeling? It’s okay. I get it. It’s been a really busy month for some and for others it may have been a bit quiet. I hope that you all have been getting a chance to enjoy some down time as we finally head into Fall.

I’m not sure what it is about September but it just feels like so much is going on at once. I know the kids go back to school and then there’s the adjustment of schedules that take place, but it’s never new. It’s the same thing each year and somehow the adjustment always gets to me.

Here’s a few things I’ve done to help me with the transition.

  • This month I intentionally scheduled self-care days for me.
  • I have been getting up earlier to start my day off in prayer/mediation.
  • I am getting into a morning routine with my toddler since he is not in daycare
  • I’ve been journaling more often throughout the day.

My challenge for you:

Take some time over these next few days and really find some you time. Yes, you should be taking some time for yourself daily, but also do a self-inventory check as well. Check and see what has been making you overwhelmed and start doing the work to let that stuff go.
