For the last few months, I have been caught up in my own expectations. I have been expecting things to go one way and then they didn’t. Because of my own expectations, I would get discouraged. It would leave me confused and frustrated. Then one day, God said to to let go of them.
This was a lesson I wish I had took to heart when I was younger. Letting go of our expectations is such a big task. There’s expectations we place on ourselves, on our loved ones, our job, our businesses and more.

But what if you decided to stop looking for the expectation? What if you decided to let go of the old way of doing things? What if you stopped limiting your beliefs? Can you imagine how much better you would feel about the things you could accomplish? You could move mountains because the possibilities would be endless.
Matthew 17:20 NIV
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
When we let go of expectations for how we want God to show up in our lives, so much more can happen. Take the lid off the box and allow God to be God.
Move out the way.
I promise you, if you let God do it the way it was intended to happen, it would be far better than you could have even imagined. But if we put ourselves in a box or if we put God in a box, then how can He do what He needs to do. Stop looking at your limited experience and counting yourself out.
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
God is calling you qualified. Because He did, know that He will provide the provisions and plan for you. Trust Him, believe in Him and have faith that it is done.
